[Approximately 70% of Microsoft's AI Business Revenue Comes from OpenAI, Clients Still Highly Concentrated in the Tech Industry] Odaily Planet Daily News – The major clients of Microsoft's AI business are still primarily concentrated in technology companies. In its most recent fiscal year, approximately 70% of its AI business revenue, amounting to $24.1 billion, came from OpenAI. Additionally, key customers of Azure AI include ByteDance, Meta, Adobe, Perplexity, Sierra, as well as Ant Group, Meituan, and Tencent. Among them, as of June this year, ByteDance's annualized spending on Microsoft's cloud platform is estimated to exceed $1 billion, while Meta's annual spending reaches several hundred million dollars. Although Microsoft previously disclosed that its AI model marketplace has around 100,000 customers, the majority of its revenue remains concentrated among a few large tech and AI companies. This may indicate that AI has yet to achieve large-scale commercial application in broader economic sectors. (Bloomberg)
