The weekend went as smoothly as expected, but I feel like things are about to get tense next week. The most important event will likely be NVIDIA's earnings report in the early hours of the 27th Beijing time. A lot of friends are heavily invested in AI and semiconductors right now, and NVIDIA's earnings report is basically the spotlight for this sector. For the AI track to continue attracting significant capital, NVIDIA's report not only needs to be good but must significantly exceed expectations. The day before NVIDIA's earnings, we also have the Fed's most-watched PCE data. Employment is already starting to weaken, and while the market expects July's PCE to be decent, if oil prices continue to rise, then July's good data will almost be meaningless. Inflation in August could continue to climb, and at that point, the reduced rate hike expectations due to weaker labor markets might be brought back into play. Right after that, we have the Jackson Hole Global Central Bank Annual Meeting over the next two days. This will be the first time Walsh attends as the Fed Chair. Recently, long-term Treasury yields have risen significantly, with the 30-year yield hitting its highest level since 2007 at one point. The semiconductor index also dropped about 5% last week, so the market will be paying close attention to Walsh's stance on inflation, economic growth, and the interest rate path. Finally, there's Bitcoin. Although there were two major fluctuations over the weekend, it still managed to stabilize around $77,000. Starting Monday night, liquidity will begin to return, and the bitcoin:native trend will become more apparent. Whether this rebound can break through $80,000 might show some signs on Monday, mainly depending on trading volume, capital, and ETFs. Also, let's keep an eye on what MSTR might do. @Gate Crypto, US stocks, Hong Kong stocks, Korean stocks, gold, CFD, prediction markets—all in one place for trading.
