[Crypto Card Spending Exceeds $1 Billion, USDC/USDT Account for 70% as Mainstream Payment Tools] According to a report by CoinDesk, Paymentscan data shows that in July 2026, crypto card spending reached $1.04 billion, a threefold increase year-over-year. The average transaction amount rose from $59 to $86, with over 10 million transactions recorded. Approximately 70% of these transactions were made using USD stablecoins, with USDC accounting for 50.8% and USDT for 20.3%. RedotPay, EtherFi, and KAST collectively contributed about 77% of the transaction volume. Visa stated that there are now over 160 stablecoin-linked card projects globally. In emerging markets such as Latin America, stablecoin spending—facilitated by products like Oobit and Binance—is primarily concentrated in everyday scenarios such as fresh groceries, dining, transportation, and subscriptions.
