[ACE Robotics Chairman Wang Xiaogang: Embodied Intelligence Expected to Reach 'ChatGPT Moment' by End of 2027]
According to Deep Tide TechFlow on August 23, citing a report from Reuters via Decrypt, Wang Xiaogang, Chairman of Chinese robotics startup ACE Robotics, stated that with advancements in world models and real-world data collection capabilities, embodied intelligence is expected to reach a 'ChatGPT moment' similar to large language models by the end of 2027.
Wang Xiaogang pointed out that one of the main bottlenecks for large-scale commercialization of robots remains the lack of real-world training data. Over the past few years, the total accumulated data in the entire industry is approximately 100,000 hours, which is far from sufficient to train foundational embodied models. ACE Robotics plans to collect tens of millions of hours of real-world data over the next two years and aims to deploy related technologies to 1,000 stores within the next year.
ACE Robotics was founded in July 2025, focusing on developing AI models for humanoid robots. The company has received support from Ant Group and SenseTime and completed over $100 million in financing in the first half of 2026. The company also plans to push for an IPO as soon as conditions permit.
