[Artificial Intelligence is Driving Accelerated U.S. Economic Growth Momentum, S&P Global Composite PMI Rises for the Third Consecutive Month]
BlockBeats News, August 23: U.S. economic growth momentum is accelerating. The S&P Global U.S. Composite PMI rose by 1.5 points in August to reach 56.0, the highest level since April 2022, marking the third consecutive month of growth. Meanwhile, the Services PMI increased by 2.2 points to 56.8, the highest level since March 2022. The Manufacturing PMI, however, declined by 0.7 points to 53.9, the lowest level in the past five months, though it remains in the expansion zone. At the same time, hiring activities across U.S. businesses, led by the services sector, have increased at the fastest pace since January 2025. These data indicate that U.S. GDP annual growth rate for Q3 2026 will reach +3.0%, compared to +1.5% in Q2. Artificial intelligence is driving a historic wave of growth.
