**[Keeta Faces Security Incident, Official Demands Attackers Return Funds Within 72 Hours]**
Foresight News reports that Ty, CEO of the payment public chain Keeta Network, has issued a statement regarding the recent attack on Keeta. He stated that the investigation has made substantial progress, and evidence identifying the attackers has been collected. This includes information such as IP addresses and the VPNs/VPS infrastructure used in the attack, user agents and technical environments initiating unauthorized requests, related email addresses, software, and infrastructure service providers. The evidence has been preserved and submitted to the relevant authorities.
The statement demands that the attackers return all funds obtained from the attack within 72 hours, with repayment acceptable in KTA, ETH, or USDC. If the full amount is returned, Keeta expressed willingness to offer a reward for discovering the vulnerability and resolve the matter without pursuing legal action. The statement also noted that if the funds are not returned within 72 hours, Keeta reserves all rights to pursue legal action and recover the funds.
Previously, on August 20, Ty had posted that the root cause of the security incident had been identified. He clarified that the issue was limited to the affected components and did not involve the pegging system or external connection systems. KTA on the Base network remains unaffected. The mainnet will remain in read-only mode until patch testing is completed, and a full compensation plan for affected users is currently under evaluation.
