Data provider TickerTrends estimates that current Anthropic and OpenAI ARRs could be more than $74 billion and $41 billion, respectively, the latter roughly double the $20 billion at the beginning of the year. If accurate, the combined ARRs of the two leading AI labs in the world now exceeds $115 billion, more than the combined trailing-12-month revenue of software giants SAP, Salesforce, and Adobe. In other words, Anthropic and OpenAI have increased their ARRs to a level approaching the ~$150 billion annualized run rate of Microsoft’s Productivity and Business Processes segment, and exceeding the revenue from Windows and the Microsoft Office suite of products, which launched in 1983.
