Brother Dayu mentioned something that I’ve actually discussed with some of the traditional old-timers. First of all, Bitcoin is a highly volatile asset, so it’s hard to guarantee it will double in 1-2 years. For example, those who got in during 2021 only broke even by 2024, and the friends who entered during the election period are just now recovering from being down 50%. So for the old-timers, unless they have a need for overseas asset allocation and it’s recommended by someone they trust and who’s on the same level as them, they’ll only allocate a small portion of their assets to it. The main reason they buy Moutai is that these old-timers not only drink it themselves but also stockpile it in large quantities. For those who don’t drink, you might not know this, but many of these old-timers even have their own Moutai distribution companies just to secure their supply. And when they drink, it’s always Moutai. So in their eyes, Moutai isn’t just a stock—it’s their personal favorite. One big shot once told me his reasoning for buying Moutai. The words were blunt, but the logic made sense. ‘As long as the sky doesn’t fall, Moutai won’t die.’ Even though young people don’t drink it now, that’s only because they haven’t reached the stage where they can drink, love to drink, or feel like they have to drink.
