[Anthropic Integrates Mythos 5 into Claude Security: Usable for Enterprises, but Model Access Restricted] Beating AI News: Anthropic has upgraded the underlying scanning model of Claude Security to Claude Mythos 5 and opened it for public testing to all Claude Enterprise customers. Once enterprises connect their GitHub repositories, Mythos 5 will scan for code vulnerabilities and provide CWE classifications, confidence levels, severity ratings, and remediation suggestions. Claude Security has actually been live for some time. When it was opened for public testing at the end of April, it was still using Claude Opus 4.7. The biggest change this time is the integration of Mythos 5, which was previously strictly access-restricted, into the existing security product. Mythos 5 not only identifies vulnerabilities but can also convert them into executable attacks, which is why it has only been accessible to vetted organizations. Enterprises still cannot directly call Mythos 5. The model operates only in the background during scans, and users receive vulnerability reports and remediation suggestions. Subsequent code modifications in Claude Code will still use the enterprise's existing models, and patches must be manually approved. Scanning is charged according to the existing token packages, and there is no need to purchase Mythos 5 separately. Anthropic also plans to integrate Mythos 5 into its partners' security products and launch the $35 million Claude Defender Advantage Fund to help open-source projects identify and fix vulnerabilities.
