According to Wu Blockchain, Galaxy Research reports that on August 18, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) proposed the *Regulation Crypto Assets* (Reg Crypto) rule, aiming to establish a dedicated regulatory pathway for the issuance and sale of certain crypto assets. Alex Thorn, Head of Research at Galaxy Research, stated that this proposal marks the first time the SEC has acknowledged the differences in form and function between token offerings and traditional equity offerings, while attempting to create a disclosure framework tailored to crypto assets. Alex Thorn believes that while Reg Crypto provides a theoretical foundation for a compliant version of 'ICO 2.0,' its short-term impact is more likely to help resolve the uncertainty around the securities status of existing tokens, rather than immediately sparking a new wave of public offerings. Additionally, he pointed out that relying solely on SEC rule adjustments lacks long-term stability, and ultimately, Congressional legislation will be needed to solidify the crypto regulatory framework. https://(wublock123.com)/news/galaxy-research-sec-regulation-may-resolve-token-securities-uncertainty-66977
