[NVIDIA Plans to Invest Hundreds of Millions of Dollars in Data Center Power Infrastructure to Strengthen AI Computing Supply Chain]
Odaily Planet Daily News: NVIDIA is in advanced negotiations with data center power infrastructure developer Cloverleaf Infrastructure, planning to invest hundreds of millions of dollars to expand its presence in the AI infrastructure sector. Cloverleaf Infrastructure primarily focuses on securing stable power supplies and developable land for large-scale data center projects, with currently planned data center power capacity exceeding 10 gigawatts (GW). If the deal is finalized, NVIDIA will further secure future data center capacity to provide infrastructure support for its AI chip deployment. In recent years, as demand for AI computing power has grown rapidly, power supply has become a critical factor limiting data center expansion. NVIDIA has also been continuously investing in related energy infrastructure companies, including power developer Lancium and SoftBank-owned SB Energy, demonstrating its shift from a chip supplier to a participant in the AI infrastructure ecosystem.
