Ni Da is super objective, and the content is packed with valuable insights!
'To put it bluntly, the scariest thing about USD1 is that its highest authority allows it to transfer funds from your account to its own or someone else's wallet without your permission. Whether you're using a cold wallet or a multi-sig wallet, there's no way to stop it.'
This is the most terrifying aspect of USD1. All these permissions were implemented without the approval of WLFI holders—they were added as backdoors.
'The USD1 source code displayed on World Liberty's official GitHub is not the same as the code currently running online.'
This is a fraudulent launch process, and similar issues occurred before during the WLFI token launch. The backdoor functionality for WLFI was also added later.
The USD1 source code currently available on World Liberty's official GitHub does not include 'drain' or 'reallocate' functions. However, the actual USD1 running after the StablecoinV2 upgrade in April 2026 already has the ability to execute 'drain' and 'reallocate' on frozen balances, granting it these permissions. So, if anyone only looks at the official GitHub, they'll underestimate the current centralized control of USD1.
