Anthropic aims for the largest IPO in history, fundraising could exceed $86.2 billion According to Bloomberg, Anthropic plans to file its IPO prospectus as early as the end of August and is considering setting a fundraising target to rival or even surpass SpaceX's record. SpaceX previously raised a total of $86.2 billion through its IPO and overallotment options, setting a benchmark. In May this year, Anthropic completed a $65 billion funding round, bringing its valuation to $965 billion. The company reported preliminary Q2 revenue exceeding $11.5 billion, with annualized revenue reaching $65 billion by the end of July. However, it is projected to incur a net loss of approximately $42 billion in 2025. Anthropic is currently working with Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan to prepare for the listing and is considering a dual-class share structure to grant founders higher voting rights. The IPO size is still under discussion, and the final fundraising amount and valuation may be adjusted. If successfully listed, Anthropic could go public ahead of OpenAI, marking another mega-deal in the U.S. IPO market this year.
