**[Analysis: Bitcoin Approaching "Golden Cross," Long-Term Trend Reversal Signal Gains Attention]**
Odaily Planet Daily News – Bitcoin's recent upward momentum has strengthened, nearing the formation of the "Golden Cross" technical pattern, which is widely regarded by the market as a long-term bullish signal. Data shows that Bitcoin's current price has surpassed $71,000, with a cumulative increase of over 12% in the past week. Currently, BTC's price is slightly above the 200-day Simple Moving Average (SMA), with the 50-day moving average around $63,976 and the 200-day moving average around $69,005. If the 50-day moving average continues to rise and crosses above the 200-day moving average, a Golden Cross may form.
The 200-day moving average is typically used to assess long-term market trends. Sustained trading above this indicator is often seen as a signal of a shift from a bear market to a bull market, while falling below it may indicate weakening long-term trends. Previously, Bitcoin had been below the 200-day moving average since October 2025, when its price was approximately $110,000, and the long-term market trend remained under pressure.
Historical data shows that BTC formed Golden Crosses in February 2023, October 2023, October 2024, and April 2025, each time followed by further upward price movements. However, uncertainties remain in the market. Analysts point out that the current rally could merely be a technical rebound rather than the start of a new long-term bullish cycle. If Bitcoin falls back below the 200-day moving average, the bullish logic brought by the Golden Cross may face challenges. (CoinDesk)
