Trump said one sentence, and it instantly pumped HYPE up by 20%.
But what’s even more noteworthy than the market move is that Hyperliquid was publicly mentioned by the White House for the first time in discussions about 'compliance for entering the U.S.'
A Perp DEX that has long thrived in an offshore, permissionless environment now has trading volumes so large that U.S. regulators can no longer ignore it. Instead of letting this liquidity and pricing power remain overseas, Washington seems more inclined to bring it under its own rules.
Of course, being 'named' is still far from actually entering the U.S. The vested interests of traditional exchanges, the jurisdictional tug-of-war between the SEC and CFTC, and the clash between KYC requirements and decentralization are all hurdles Hyperliquid must overcome.
If this path can truly be paved, Hyperliquid might not be the only one to get 'recruited.'
