[Elon Musk and Warren Buffett's Century Reconciliation? Berkshire Hathaway Indirectly Holds 0.04% of SpaceX Stock Through Alphabet, Google's Parent Company] Odaily Planet Daily reports, according to Business Insider, based on calculations from publicly disclosed holdings data, Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, through a two-layer equity nesting 'penetrative holding' model, indirectly holds approximately 0.04% of SpaceX (Space Exploration Technologies Corp.) shares, corresponding to a market value exceeding $700 million. This rare capital intersection brings together two top business magnates: 'The Oracle of Omaha' Warren Buffett and 'Iron Man' Elon Musk. Musk has long regarded Buffett's investment endorsement as a significant industry validation and has repeatedly extended an olive branch to Buffett on social media, expressing hope that Buffett would become a shareholder in his companies. In 2023, Musk jokingly remarked, 'It's a pity he didn't invest when Tesla's market cap was only 0.1% of what it is now.' In 2024, he publicly reiterated, 'He should build a position in Tesla; it's the obvious choice.' Although Buffett has not invested in Tesla, he has, in another way, become an 'invisible shareholder' of SpaceX. From the shareholding structure, this equity stake does not come from Berkshire directly investing in SpaceX but rather as an ancillary asset tied to its significant investment in Alphabet, the tech giant and Google's parent company.
