Today, I saw a lot of friends saying that Bitcoin's pump is related to BlackRock's article, or maybe it's tied to U.S. interest rates. Some even joked that it was triggered by Trump's private API notification. Honestly, we don't know for sure, but the timing of BlackRock's article doesn't seem to match—it was published two days ago when Bitcoin's price was still around $64,000.
Plus, if you look closely, you'll notice BlackRock's promotional direction has always been consistent. They’ve been encouraging investors to allocate 1% or 2% of their investment assets to bitcoin:native. This kind of encouragement has been going on for quite a while. If I remember correctly, they even released a video last month where BlackRock's investment director specifically talked about investing in Bitcoin.
Of course, regardless of the reason, Bitcoin's rise is good news for the entire industry. But whether this marks the start of a "bull run" is still uncertain. From the current trend, you can clearly see we're still in a consolidation zone. Personally, I think if we’re going to see a real, phased bull run, it’s likely to happen after the midterm elections.
That’s just my personal opinion, though—it might not be right.
