Holy crap, the bear market is over! (Full version)
Last night’s meeting at the White House wasn’t just another instance of Trump casually hyping up Crypto.
Trump brought together the SEC, CFTC, Coinbase, Robinhood, Kraken, Ripple, Chainlink, Nasdaq, and the NYSE parent company ICE. The lineup was insane.
Then, in front of this powerhouse group, he laid out a few key points:
- The U.S. has discussed further increasing its holdings of Bitcoin and other digital assets.
- Congress must push forward and pass the CLARITY Act as the next step.
- The CFTC is exploring ways to bring Hyperliquid into the U.S. in compliance with regulations.
- The U.S. must maintain an undisputed lead in Bitcoin, Crypto, prediction markets, and AI.
Next, the SEC, CFTC, NYSE, Nasdaq, and Crypto companies are all sitting down at the White House to figure out how to formally integrate stablecoins, on-chain financing, perpetual contracts, and prediction markets into the U.S. financial system.
Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong said directly at the White House that the next big battle is securing 60 votes for the CLARITY Act. Why is this vote so critical?
Because Trump’s support for Crypto might only last one term, but if the market structure law is truly passed, the rules won’t easily be overturned just because there’s a new president.
So the real headline from last night isn’t “Will the U.S. suddenly buy a ton of BTC?”
After last night, Crypto is transitioning from being an asset supported by Trump to becoming a core part of the U.S.’s long-term financial infrastructure.
In short, the U.S. is staking its claim on the next generation of the financial system.
