On vacation and saw $BTC skyrocketing, so I quickly jumped on Twitter to find out why. Turns out the 30-year U.S. Treasury yield collapsed, plus the SEC proposed a new regulation regarding token issuance, aka ICOs. I think the latter is the main reason, even though it’ll take some time before it actually takes effect. Everyone knows that back in 2016/2017, the booming ICOs were a more advanced way of asset issuance compared to stock offerings—lower cost, more transparency, and lower participation barriers. But due to a lack of regulation, some bad actors exploited it, and eventually, bad money drove out the good. Looking forward to a new crypto era under proper regulation. PS. If you don’t know what to buy, just go with BTC.
