[Berachain Stablecoin HONEY Renamed to Bera USD (BUSD)] The Berachain Foundation has announced that its stablecoin HONEY has undergone a rebranding and has been renamed to Bera USD, with the ticker symbol BUSD. The contract address and the token itself remain unchanged, with only the name and symbol being updated. According to the official statement, this move aims to make it immediately recognizable as a USD-pegged stablecoin, particularly for institutional users. On the technical side, since the token name is involved in the EIP-712 domain separation design, permits or off-chain authorizations previously signed under the HONEY name will automatically become invalid and require re-signing. Berachain stated that updates related to BUSD will soon be fully rolled out across all integration partners, with more updates planned for the stablecoin in the future.
