Wu Blockchain has learned that the Singapore International Commercial Court (SICC) has ordered the freezing of approximately 75 million SGD worth of BTC and USDC. The dispute stems from a major global crypto exchange's internal ledger error in 2020, which led to an incorrect transaction in July 2024. The exchange mistakenly credited a long-term customer's wallet with 2,500 BTC and 2,500 BCH. The customer subsequently exchanged 20 BTC for approximately 816,773 USDC and transferred the USDC along with 780 BTC to an external non-custodial wallet in the second half of 2024. After reconciling accounts in January 2025, the exchange discovered the error, froze the customer's account, and recovered the remaining 1,700 BTC and 2,500 BCH. The SICC judge determined there was sufficient evidence to confirm the transaction was a mistake and issued a temporary injunction prohibiting the customer from disposing of the 816,773 USDC and 780 BTC (along with related proceeds). The court also ordered the customer to disclose the whereabouts of the assets. https://(wublock123.com)/news/singapore-international-commercial-court-freezes-780-btc-816700-usdc-66810
