[BTC Holds Steady at $64,000, But Tonight’s Test is Crucial]
Finally, Bitcoin showed some strength today.
While U.S. stocks are still shaky, BTC managed to reclaim the $64,000 level, even briefly touching $65,000 during intraday trading.
A few days ago, it was still following the U.S. stock market’s downward trend, but today it’s finally acting a bit more independently
Still, I’m not ready to get too excited just yet, mainly because one data point stands out:
The perpetual contract funding rate has hit a 20-month high.
In simple terms, the bulls are piling in again.
At times like this, if the price keeps climbing, the bulls will be thrilled; but if $65,000 fails to break through and leverage builds up too much, it could lead to a wave of long liquidation.
So, what I’m focusing on next are two key levels:
Can $64,000 hold, and can $65,000 break?
If $64,000 stays solid and $65,000 gets taken out, this rebound could have more room to run.
But if $65,000 keeps failing to break, it’s time to be cautious.
There’s also one more variable tonight:
At 2 AM Singapore time, the FOMC meeting minutes will be released.
This time, the focus isn’t on whether rates will be cut, but rather on the Fed’s stance on inflation, oil prices, and its future policy direction.
If the minutes lean hawkish, BTC’s rebound might wobble again.
If they’re less hawkish, the market might breathe a sigh of relief.
So tonight, don’t just stare at the candlesticks to see if they’re breaking out.
First, watch $64,000, then $65,000, and finally, check what the Fed says at 2 AM.
Bitcoin has finally started moving to its own rhythm—let’s hope it doesn’t overcomplicate things tonight
