Foresight News reports that in response to concerns raised by crypto analyst Ultra regarding deep data collection behavior in Kaito's new browser plugin, Kaito Pulse, Kaito Co-Founder Yu Hu tweeted a response stating that Pulse was designed from the outset with mechanisms focused on data minimization and user control. The team plans to open source Kaito Pulse this week, allowing external parties to review the code. Yu Hu addressed five key points in his tweet: 1. The browser-based verification functionality is supported by zkTLS technology, which enables verification of specific off-chain claims while minimizing the disclosure of information to Kaito. During verification, only account data required to generate cryptographic proofs is used, and Kaito receives the verification result rather than a copy of the account data. 2. Supported verification websites such as ChatGPT, Claude, Binance, etc., will only be used when users actively initiate verification. These optional features will be rolled out gradually over the next few days to weeks. No verification data will be sent to Kaito without explicit user initiation. 3. Pulse will collect user interaction data on X (formerly Twitter) with user authorization, including content display, dwell time, and interaction behavior, for product functionality and experience analysis. However, it will not send browsing activity outside of X to Kaito, nor will it capture screen data, passwords, or record keyboard inputs. 4. Regarding the Chrome permission prompt seen by some users indicating that Pulse can read and write data on all websites, Yu Hu stated that the scope of these permissions does not align with the actual usage of the product. The team will correct the permission display in the next version. 5. Device fingerprinting is solely used for anti-sybil and anti-abuse purposes, targeting behaviors such as botting and automated scraping. It is not used for analytics or other purposes.
