Citi just confirmed it's launching Bitcoin custody later this year through its new Custody+ platform. Institutional clients will be able to hold BTC right alongside traditional assets in one unified setup.
This builds on plans first signaled back in October, it's the biggest update since.
Citi joins BNY Mellon, U.S. Bancorp, Fidelity Digital Assets, and Coinbase in the growing club of institutions offering native BTC custody.(Lark Davis)
