This is correct. There will be no peaceful transition to a new reserve currency or monetary system. There is no "de-dollarization" in an absolute sense without settling (or defaulting on, catastrophically) tens of trillions of dollar-denominated loans that not only nations but their businesses and firms owe to each other. The U.S., being at the gooey center of it all, does not get to "pre-position" for a shift away from its own currency standard by hoarding gold or Bitcoin because it would rapidly, mechanically weaken trust in their commitment to the existing status quo and would cause MASSIVE capital outflows (as has been observed in past eras when the standard bearer lost confidence). America is pot-committed to dollar dominance and must defend it until the wheels come off in broad daylight, as they will SOME DAY. But that day is not today or any time soon. It will get much worse before it can get better.(𝐓𝐗𝐌𝐂)
