A briefing on the state of our energy sector and top priorities in our communications with partners. First Deputy Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal reported on the state of Ukraine’s energy system and the daily work of Ukrainian energy workers to address the consequences of Russian strikes. I thank all the specialists in the sector for their truly professional and dedicated work.
Every day, efforts continue to restore electricity supplies to Ukrainian families after the attacks. The challenges are particularly serious in the cities and villages of frontline regions and regions bordering Russia. It is important that the necessary equipment reserves have been built up.
We also identified the tasks for our work with Ukraine’s partners in the near term – what political, financial, and purely technical agreements are needed now in August, as well as in September, ahead of the start of the heating season. We are counting on support from specific countries – for security reasons, we are not disclosing the details at this time.
Denys Shmyhal also reported on the strategic prospects for developing Ukraine’s nuclear energy sector and the priorities for the relevant work in Europe. We also discussed key social projects that have been prepared for launch within the Ministry of Energy system this fall. Thank you!(Volodymyr Zelenskyy / Володимир Зеленський)
