US 10-YEAR YIELD HITS 19-MONTH HIGH
The 10-year Treasury yield climbed to 4.75%, its highest since early 2025, as a global bond selloff deepened.
Inflation concerns, heavy corporate debt issuance and thin August trading are pressuring bonds worldwide.
Middle East tensions and Brent crude above $91 added to inflation fears.
Meanwhile, markets see about a 35% chance of a Fed rate hike in September, with a full hike not priced in until January 2027.(*Walter Bloomberg)
