A shareholder of MSTR invested $219,000 for 3 kids, now down to $60,000. Saylor responds: If you want dividends, buy preferred shares.
Michael Saylor responded to MSTR common shareholders' requests for dividends, saying that if they want dividends, they should consider preferred shares. He also mentioned that the holding period for MSTR common stock should be at least 4 years, ideally 7 to 10 years.
The shareholder stated that he invested $73,000 in MSTR for each of his 3 kids, and now each investment is worth only about $20,000. He’s worried that the company’s continuous ATM offerings are suppressing the stock price.
Saylor also noted that the actual yield of STRD is close to 15%, while STRC and STRK are designed to provide dividends and some upside potential.
