[Global Top 5 NAND Manufacturers Q2 Revenue Totals $68.87 Billion, Up 77% QoQ, Micron Surpasses Kioxia to Rank Third]
BlockBeats News, August 18, TrendForce released data showing that in the second quarter of 2026, the combined revenue of the world's top five NAND flash memory manufacturers reached $68.87 billion, a quarter-over-quarter (QoQ) increase of 77%. This growth was primarily driven by a surge in enterprise SSD demand fueled by AI servers and an increase in contract prices.
Samsung Electronics maintained its top position with $23.06 billion in revenue, a QoQ increase of 70.7%, but its market share dropped from 31.6% to 29.3% due to faster growth from competitors. SK Hynix remained in second place with $14.27 billion in revenue, a QoQ increase of 89.5%, driven by the expansion of its 321-layer process and growing demand for high-capacity QLC enterprise SSDs, pushing its market share up from 17.6% to 18.2%.
Micron achieved the fastest growth among the top five manufacturers, with a revenue increase of 99.2% QoQ, reaching $11.85 billion. Its market share rose from 13.9% to 15.1%, surpassing Kioxia to claim third place. Kioxia's revenue grew 79.9% QoQ to $10.72 billion, but its market share slightly declined to 13.6%. SanDisk saw the slowest growth among the top five, with revenue increasing only 50.7%, causing its market share to drop from 13.9% to 11.4%.
TrendForce forecasts that enterprise SSD demand for AI servers will remain robust in the third quarter, while major NAND manufacturers will focus investments on DRAM and HBM. With limited new NAND supply, the upward price trend is expected to continue, likely driving further growth in overall industry revenue. [Original Link]
