[SpaceX's AI Code Editor Launches Built-in Code Hosting Platform Origin] According to VentureBeat, SpaceX's AI code editor Cursor launched its code hosting platform Origin on Monday for paid users. Origin is located under the Codebase tab within Cursor and supports PR processes, reviews, and merges. On its first day of launch, it integrated Vercel preview deployments as well as Depot and Buildkite for continuous integration, while remaining compatible with existing GitHub Actions workflows. Cursor does not require users to leave GitHub, as pushes are synced to GitHub and it remains the source of truth. The release coincided with a large-scale GitHub outage on the same day, which the company stated was purely coincidental.
