Those of us holding WTI short positions aren’t having it easy either. At least the funding rates have dropped to nearly zero in the past few days, so it’s a bit better. With the U.S. midterm elections approaching, it’s highly unlikely that the U.S. and Iran will escalate into a full-blown conflict. Maybe the U.S. will take some limited action and then stop immediately? But reports say that the '60-day extension agreement for U.S.-Iran negotiations has been approved,' which caused oil prices to drop, but they bounced back to around 82 later in the evening. WTI. Not sure if this is true, and there’s still no conclusion on the navigation status of the Strait of Hormuz. Let’s keep an eye on how this develops. CME shows about a 33% probability of a rate hike in September. Although it’s below 50%, it’s still relatively high. U.S. stocks are doing okay with good liquidity, fluctuating at high levels. As for Bitcoin, the price action is just way too flat. U.S. and Iran, you really don’t have much time left. Hurry up and make a decision already. This week, we’ll keep watching the situation in the Strait. PCE data is at the end of the month, so this week is kind of a quiet period.
