[Goldman Sachs: Global Bond Issuance Down 16% Year-on-Year Last Week]
Data from Goldman Sachs shows that global bond issuance last week decreased by 16% year-on-year, but year-to-date issuance is still 9% higher compared to the same period last year. Investment-grade corporate bond issuance surged by 60%, while high-yield bond issuance dropped by 41%, and leveraged loan issuance plummeted by 88%. Bond issuance in the financial sector rose by 38%, whereas structured finance issuance fell by 64%. Meanwhile, ETF asset sizes tracking the S&P and MSCI indices continued to grow strongly, increasing by 32% and 36%, respectively.
