DWF Labs stated in its latest weekly market report that according to Q2 13F documents, Morgan Stanley's BTC exposure increased by 3.7% month on month and ETH exposure increased by 18.6% based on the corresponding number of encrypted assets; JPMorgan Chase's BTC exposure increased by 12.2%, while its ETH exposure increased by 67.3%. Both institutions' ETH exposure growth rates were significantly higher than BTC's. The two institutions added approximately 1556 BTC and 20897 ETH in total for the quarter. DWF Labs reminds that bank 13F holdings may largely belong to client assets and are not equivalent to bank proprietary investments.
In terms of the market, the total open interest (OI) of cryptocurrency futures rose to $118.07 billion as of August 16th, an increase of 2.7% from the previous week and the highest since June; Deribit BTC DVOL fell to 34.83, approaching the low of the past 12 months.
