[JPMorgan Expresses Intent to Compete for Polymarket IPO Underwriting Role]
BlockBeats News, August 17: In October 2025, JPMorgan notified Polymarket to terminate their partnership due to regulatory concerns. Subsequently, Polymarket transferred its banking operations to another undisclosed lending institution. However, the connection between the two parties has not been completely severed. In February of this year, JPMorgan invited Polymarket CEO Shayne Coplan to speak at its private banking high-net-worth client conference in Miami, sharing the stage with NFL legend Tom Brady. If Polymarket initiates an IPO in the future, JPMorgan has expressed interest in competing for the underwriting role. According to informed sources, 'they don’t want to burn all bridges.' Polymarket, however, disputes claims that the relationship has been broadly severed, emphasizing that it maintains a close and active relationship with JPMorgan 'across multiple entities, operational integrations, and substantive handling of client fund flows.'
