Measured Move is a practical and empirical method in price action analysis. Measured Move (测量移动) is a psychological price projection technique based on behavioral structures. Simply put, it uses the 'length' of the first price movement to estimate where the second movement might go, helping traders identify new observation points and partial take-profit levels by combining support/resistance. The process goes like this: the first price movement travels a certain distance → a pullback/consolidation occurs → the market resumes → the 'length' of the first movement is used to estimate where the second movement might reach. In simple terms, there are mainly two types of measured moves: 1️⃣ equal-height measured moves after a range breakout, and 2️⃣ two-leg height measured moves within a trend. From my personal experience, this method tends to be more effective in the early stages of a trend or during the first rally after a range breakout. Measured Move is not about predicting the future; it’s about providing an objective basis for trading targets, helping traders avoid excessive chasing of highs/lows, and enabling partial profit-taking and further observation at appropriate levels. #PriceAction #价格行为 #交易 #技术分析 #MeasuredMove #AlBrooks #TradingRange #测量移动
