[DefiLlama Founder: Mobile Launch Delayed Due to Phishing Apps in Apple Store] According to a report by Cointelegraph, DeFiLlama's anonymous founder, 0xngmi, revealed that the company has delayed the release of its official mobile application due to the persistent presence of phishing apps impersonating the platform on the Apple App Store. The team spent months reporting the malicious apps to Apple without success. It was only after downloading the app and documenting its process of stealing funds from small crypto wallets that Apple removed it within 'a few days.' 0xngmi stated that the team decided to wait until all counterfeit apps were cleared before launching the official app to prevent users from being deceived. Previously, fake apps impersonating Rabby Wallet and Curve Finance had appeared on the App Store, and in November 2023, a fake Ledger Live app on the Microsoft Store led to 38 transactions being stolen, totaling $588,000.
