Just realized Binance listed Anthropic's pre-market perpetual contracts. With a $1.7 trillion valuation right now, I really can't resist shorting it.
SpaceX's IPO is a ready-made lesson: it went public at a $1.77 trillion valuation. After listing, the initial circulating supply was only 4%, and the price shot up to $2.5 trillion. Then, after the first earnings report, the market re-evaluated it and it dropped back to around $1.4 trillion.
Also, in June, the U.S. Department of Commerce's temporary export controls slowed revenue growth. The Claude model is priced at more than 2.5x OpenAI's flagship, while China's open-source weight models cost just a fraction. Plus, the company is still in litigation with the U.S. government.
The key point is, in terms of product strength, I really don't think Claude can beat ChatGPT.
