Recently, MARS has skyrocketed from around 0.004 all the way to 0.015—absolutely insane. Plus, the total network hashrate keeps hitting new highs!
MarsChain uses PoC (Proof of Contribution).
The logic is simple: it’s not about “staking MARS to mine MARS,” but instead, you burn MARS.
Burn MARS → Gain permanent hashrate → Hashrate continuously participates in network-wide token production.
The burned tokens are gone for good, but the hashrate you get in return is permanent.
There are a few key numbers here:
① Total supply is 200 billion, no additional issuance
② Halving every 448 days
③ Hashrate model is anchored to a 188-day token-based breakeven parameter
In other words, on one hand, people are actively burning MARS to gain hashrate, and on the other hand, future token production is periodically halved.
One reduces the circulating supply, the other compresses the new supply.
This is what I find most interesting about MarsChain.
What’s even cooler is that it has two “equations”:
One is the Christmas Protocol, which triggers large-scale burning + hashrate expansion at fixed times.
The other is the Oracle Protocol, which triggers burning and hashrate expansion when the price retraces from ATH under specific conditions.
So it’s not just relying on “everyone holding” to maintain deflation—it directly burns tokens.
Add in the fission mechanism where you can earn hashrate by inviting others, and the whole flywheel becomes pretty clear:
User growth → More burning → Circulating supply decreases → Hashrate increases → More participants → More burning.
The price has already gone from 0.004 to 0.015, completing one cycle, but instead of focusing on the price, I’m more interested in two things moving forward:
How fast the total network hashrate can continue to grow, and how many MARS will actually get burned the next time an equation is triggered.
If these two metrics keep climbing, that’s when the flywheel will truly start spinning.
Of course, a complex mechanism ≠ guaranteed success, and the 188-day parameter is based on token metrics, not a fiat return guarantee. High-volatility projects still require DYOR.
