**[FT: Manus Founder Xiao Hong's Exit Ban to Be Lifted, Preparing to Return to Singapore]** According to monitoring by Dongcha Beating, the *Financial Times*, citing two informed sources, reported that regulators are preparing to lift the exit restrictions on Manus founder and CEO Xiao Hong and others. Xiao Hong has informed employees of plans to return to Singapore soon. Xiao Hong and Manus co-founder and Chief Scientist Ji Yichao were required to remain in the country in March this year as regulators investigated whether Meta's acquisition of Manus violated relevant regulations. In April, regulators ordered Meta to unwind the $2 billion acquisition. This week, Manus officially confirmed it will resume independent operations, with the separation plan largely taking shape. Original shareholders such as Tencent, ZhenFund, and HSG will participate in the buyback. Tencent will also acquire most of Benchmark's shares, becoming the largest single shareholder in Manus, though its stake will not exceed 50%. Manus will not be merged into Tencent and will continue to operate independently in Singapore. The final plan is still subject to regulatory approval. Based on the current proposal, regulators are requiring the dissolution of Meta's acquisition of Manus but have not demanded that Manus relocate its operations. [Original Link]
