Behind your account is a long-running Linux cloud computer equipped with a browser, files, and a terminal. Once you assign it a task, it can independently research, log into tools, operate backends, and organize results. Even if you shut down your computer, it keeps working in the cloud and only comes back to you for approvals when necessary. For example, if I’m about to sleep at 5 AM, I can just tell it: “Organize the collaboration emails I received today, research the background of each project, add the key points to a spreadsheet, draft replies in my tone, and ask for my confirmation before sending.” Then I just go to sleep. When I wake up, the client details, project backgrounds, and email drafts are all ready. All I need to do is review the results and decide what to send. It doesn’t rely on every website providing an API or MCP either. For older backend systems, it can directly open a browser, click through pages like a human, fill out forms, download files, and update the CRM. When it encounters passwords, verification codes, payments, or critical permissions, it hands control back to you, and once you’re done, it resumes the task. It has long-term memory. Each bot can have its own name, responsibilities, and work habits, gradually learning your communication style, approval boundaries, and workflows. You can even perform a task once to show it how it’s done, and it will save the process as a routine to replicate in the future. In the past, creating an automated workflow often required scripting, integrating APIs, and setting up servers. In the future, it’ll be as simple as showing the AI how to do it once, telling it when to execute, and specifying when to pause and ask for your input. You could create a Sales Bot to find leads, a Research Bot to gather background info, a Content Bot to draft emails, and a Chief of Staff Bot to compile results. These bots can pass tasks to each other, work through the night, and only present you with the decisions that truly require your judgment in the morning. Right now, it’s still in early beta, so issues like logins, website changes, permissions, and errors can arise. In the past, when AI made mistakes, it would just generate incorrect content. But now that it can modify backends, send emails, and operate real accounts, approval and permission management will become critically important.
