Jingna Zhang took to X (formerly Twitter) with multiple posts to express her frustration: "Artists just want a platform that doesn’t feed our work to AI, so I built Cara. But people just won’t leave us alone. The law doesn’t help us, the government doesn’t help us." Cara had implemented Cloudflare anti-scraping measures, robots.txt, NoAI tags, and even withdrew from federated protocols, yet it was still breached. Jingna Zhang stated that she has joined two class-action lawsuits representing artists' copyrights, but "these people still won’t stop." Jingna Zhang revealed that over the past four years, the immense pressure has taken a toll on her health, causing her to suffer from severe stress and hair loss.
