After SPCX opened today, it plunged all the way down, hitting an intraday low of 135+, but it has since rebounded to 139+. Besides the reasons mentioned yesterday, today’s stock price drop might also be due to the completion of the Cursor acquisition. Although the acquisition of Cursor was a story from June, there’s a hidden detail in the actual operation: the share swap ratio was calculated based on the volume-weighted average price (VWAP) of the seven trading days prior to the closing. This is essentially a textbook-style preview of the Tesla–SpaceX merger we’ve talked about before. Pushing up SpaceX’s stock price while suppressing the acquirer’s stock price is the most beneficial strategy for SpaceX/Musk himself. While he can’t directly manipulate stock prices, it’s clear he skillfully avoided SEC scrutiny by precisely timing the release of positive news to achieve his goals. Two more reasons for today’s drop to 135: 1. On August 20, 319 million shares became eligible for transfer, so funds reduced risk ahead of the weekend. 2. Today is the weekly options expiration date. The $135 price is both the IPO price and near the maximum pain point for options. After breaking below $139–140, Call hedging unwound, and Put hedging likely amplified the drop. Around $135, Put profit-taking, hedging replenishment, and IPO price buying collectively triggered a rebound. This acts as an amplifier, not the initial cause. Price outlook: - Regaining $139.5–140: Indicates strong support at $135. - Recovering $141.29 and stabilizing above $143–145: Today would look more like a sell-the-news shakeout. - Closing between $135–139: Structure remains weak, with a high probability of retesting $135 before next week’s unlock. - Closing below $135 without rebounding: Next targets are $132.5 and $130. @BITstocks_CN Buy U.S. stocks on BIT, 10,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs, real holdings, and enjoy dividend payouts. #SPCX #stocks #trading #investing
