If you can't beat them, join them. Gnosis Chain @gnosis_ is just one step away from transitioning from a sovereign L1 to a highly aligned Ethereum L2. The GIP-153 proposal, co-authored and initiated by Gnosis founder @tw_tter and two other core team members, represents a top-down reform. So far, the proposal has garnered a 98.4% approval rate, with 5 days left until voting closes. Its passage is almost a certainty. As one of the oldest public blockchains, Gnosis Chain has been running its mainnet for nearly 8 years. Choosing this moment to transition to an Ethereum L2 requires a lot of determination. The security of most PoS public chains as L1s is far inferior to Ethereum, and long-term token inflation to subsidize validators directly harms the interests of non-stakers. This is a common issue for almost all PoS L1s. Instead of continuing down that path, why not transition directly to being an Ethereum L2? Hand over security to Ethereum validators and inherit Ethereum's robust security directly. The new wave of Ethereum L2 summer narratives won't stop here at Robinhood Chain.
