S&P 500 closed at a record 7,798.99 on Thursday (+0.65%), even touching an intraday all-time high of 7,816.70. That's its 27th record close this year. Nasdaq climbed 0.8%, Dow added 0.1%. Cooler than expected PPI data eased worries about a September rate hike, building on Wednesday's soft CPI print.
