🚨Scooplet: The @SECGov’s tokenization innovation exemption has been “further delayed,” with details expected to remain under wraps for the time being, per a source familiar with the matter. Part of the reason, I’m told, could be that the tokenization section of the Clarity Act (Section 10505) has been the subject of much back and forth between stakeholders and anything the SEC might do via an innovation exemption may upset the compromise on that section. It suggests the exemption could remain on hold until there’s more “clarity” on the path forward for the Clarity Act. The SEC is still set to hold its planned open meeting tomorrow at 10AM to propose new rules and exemptions for fundraising transactions involving crypto, aka Regulation Crypto Assets.(Eleanor Terrett)
