Haven’t looked at Bitcoin data thoroughly in a long time. Took some time today to reorganize everything. Honestly, the data looks like a complete mess, but there’s still a glimmer of hope. At least it’s clear that high-net-worth investors are consistently buying in, and traditional investors in spot ETFs seem pretty obvious about their bottom-fishing intentions around $60,000. Also, long-term holders might actually be influenced by cold wallets, leading to portfolio rebalancing. Overall, my confidence in bitcoin:native remains strong.
Of course, the key focus is still on U.S. macro politics and economics. Right now, the most critical issue is the U.S.-Iran war situation. Saw someone today on the timeline saying they’re already annoyed just seeing the word “Hormuz.” Honestly, I feel the same writing about it, but there’s no way around it. Whenever we talk about the U.S., inflation, or geopolitics, Hormuz has to come up—it’s become a thorn in America’s side.
Looking at the U.S. fiscal deficit today, you can sense that continuing the fight is becoming increasingly painful for the U.S. Even if they can suppress Iran militarily, for a theocracy, there’s no need for advanced weaponry—drones and small boats are enough to instill fear in ships passing through Hormuz. Not to mention cheap mines. Feels like the U.S. is stuck in a tough spot. And Iran charging a 7% fee is just shameless.
At times like this, the global community should unite to resist Iran instead of letting them charge exorbitant fees. Today it’s 7%, tomorrow it could be 20%. The global economy being held hostage by one country—I really can’t wrap my head around it.
