[Bitcoin User Pays 1.6 BTC Fee Due to RBF Script Malfunction] According to BeInCrypto, on August 12, a Bitcoin user paid a 1.6 BTC (approximately $102,800) transaction fee in block 962,142 due to an automated script malfunction, with the actual transfer amount being zero. The user's automated script had enabled the Replace-by-Fee (RBF) feature, which automatically increased the fee bid every second, depleting the wallet balance. Mining pool SpiderPool mined the block and collected the earnings, with this fee accounting for 88% of the total block transaction fees of 1.82 BTC.
