[Kraken Launches S&P 500 Perpetual Contracts on Prop Platform]
According to TechFlow's report on August 13, citing Cointelegraph, the U.S. cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has launched an S&P 500 perpetual product on its proprietary trading platform, Kraken Prop, providing proprietary traders with 24/7 access to the U.S. stock index benchmark. The product utilizes a perpetual contract structure, priced based on an index oracle tracking the S&P 500, with no expiration date or rollover requirements. Traders can use up to 5x leverage, with a maximum notional exposure of $1 million. Kraken Prop's evaluation program starts at $20, with funding account sizes ranging from $5,000 to $200,000. The company stated that following the Nasdaq 100, the S&P 500 has become the second traditional market tradable on the platform, with commodities to be included in subsequent multi-asset expansion plans.
