**[Bitcoin Drops to One-Week Low as Retail Funds Shift to Gold]** Deep Tide TechFlow reports, on August 12, according to Cointelegraph, Bitcoin (BTC) prices fell to a one-week low on Tuesday, dropping below the $64,000 mark, while gold prices rose to $4,435 per ounce during the same period, hitting a nine-week high since June 5. Market uncertainty has driven safe-haven funds toward gold, with SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) ETF seeing single-day retail inflows of $50 million, the highest level since mid-March. On the same day, total inflows into gold ETFs reached $637 million, while U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded combined inflows of $244.4 million. Data shows that the 90-day rolling correlation between Bitcoin and gold has returned to "digital gold era" levels. From a technical perspective, BTC/USD encountered resistance near the 50-month exponential moving average at $65,827. Analysts suggest that if Bitcoin breaks through the critical $66,000 level, the price may test $73,000. The market is closely watching the impact of the upcoming U.S. July CPI inflation data on risk assets.
