🇯🇵 HUGE: Japan Inc. profits surge 70%, powered by a yen so weak a $100 BILLION intervention couldn't lift it.
Listed Japanese companies posted the profit jump for the April to June quarter, fueled by the weak yen and AI spending, per Nikkei Asia.
The US and Japan spent an estimated $100 BILLION in late July buying yen to stop its slide. It briefly hit ¥155, then fell right back past ¥159.
Exporters like Toyota, whose profit topped ¥1 TRILLION, are cashing in on the same weakness hammering Japan's bond markets.(Coin Bureau)
